Our story

Travel-medicine specialists, embedded in a long-standing High Street pharmacy.

Tring Clinic is the travel-medicine arm of Pyramid Pharmacy — an independent UK pharmacy group with 20+ branches and decades of NHS service. Our High Street branch in Tring has served the Chilterns for years; Tring Clinic is the dedicated travel-medicine brand we run from it.

Travellers come to us for everything from short city breaks in Asia and Latin America to long safaris in sub-Saharan Africa, Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, family gap years and last-minute business trips. We see patients from across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire — Berkhamsted, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead, Leighton Buzzard, Wendover and the wider Chilterns.

We're independently regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), MHRA-licensed for every vaccine we administer, and aligned with current guidance from the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC), the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The Tring branch is also a contracted NHS pharmacy offering Pharmacy First and dispensing services alongside our private travel-medicine clinic.

Manpreet Athwal Superintendent Pharmacist & Travel Medicine Lead

I'm Manpreet — superintendent pharmacist at Tring Clinic. I lead the clinical team on the High Street and run every travel-medicine consultation we offer. I'm GPhC-registered (reg. 2079775), MPharm-qualified, Yellow Fever trained, and I work to the current NaTHNaC and UKHSA guidance. I've prepared thousands of travellers for trips spanning every continent — from Hajj pilgrims with five days' notice to families heading to India to multi-country South American expeditions. Book with me directly, or call the team on the High Street.

How we work

Six principles every consultation runs on.

Pharmacist-led

Every consultation is with a GPhC-registered pharmacist. No counter-assistant triage, no rushed handover.

NaTHNaC-aligned

We follow the same NaTHNaC and UKHSA guidance NHS travel clinics use, refreshed every consultation.

Same-week appointments

Most slots are available within 5 working days. Walk-ins welcome subject to pharmacist availability.

Yellow Fever Centre

Designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre — we issue the International Certificate of Vaccination (ICVP) on the day.

Free consultation

You never pay for the conversation. You only pay for the vaccines and antimalarials you actually receive.

Aftercare on return

Reactions, post-trip symptoms, advice — call us first. We triage on the High Street and refer onward if needed.

What happens in a consultation

From booking to aftercare — six steps.

1Online or walk-in
Book in seconds

Pick a slot online or walk in — we'll fit you in if a pharmacist is free. Same-day appointments routinely available.

25 minutes
Pre-screening form

A short online form lets us prep your risk plan before you arrive — destination, dates, activities, medical history.

320 minutes
One-to-one consultation

Sit down with Manpreet on the High Street. We talk through every recommended and optional vaccine — no scripts, no upsell.

4Same visit
Every vaccine in one visit

We hold the full travel stock on-site — Yellow Fever, Hep A/B, Rabies, JE, MenACWY, TBE, Cholera and more. No waiting weeks.

5Take-home
Travel-ready pack

6If you need it

Our commitments

Six promises every patient gets.

Free consultation, always

You never pay for the conversation. The consultation is included in every visit, and you only pay for the doses you actually receive.

Honest advice, no upsell

We recommend only the vaccines you actually need for your trip. If a vaccine isn't necessary for your destination, we'll tell you up front.

Lifelong record-keeping

Every dose we administer goes on your personal vaccination record. You can request a copy at any time for insurance, visa or future travel planning.

Aftercare on return

Call us first for any post-trip symptoms or reactions. We triage on the High Street and refer onward to GP, A&E or the Hospital for Tropical Diseases as appropriate.

Transparent pricing

Every vaccine and antimalarial is priced per dose. No hidden booking fees, no surprise charges. Current rates always shown on the booking page.

Clinical governance

We operate under the clinical governance framework of Pyramid Pharmacy — including SOPs, audit trails, controlled-drug oversight and CPD requirements for every clinician.
